Quiz Night 5th Feb 2010
Apologies in advance to those of you who have already contacted me regarding the annual football quiz and the delay in getting information out - here are the formal details below!
I am delighted to announce that further to the resounding success of the last 5 years' events we have again arranged our football quiz for Friday 5th February 2010. The venue will by tradition be the Inn at the Park (kick off 7 for 7.30pm sharp).
The 2009 quiz generated over £9000 of which every penny was split equally between Alzheimer Scotland and Ayr United Youth Academy - many thanks to you all for making this possible. We will again be supporting these 2 organisations this year.
To enable us to get the team numbers sorted out I should be grateful if you could come back to me to confirm whether you would like to enter a team again this year - tickets are £60 for a team of 4 to include a buffet, various prizes, a raffle and an auction, and half time entertainment provided by a surprise guest - great value for money!
Please get back to me no later than Friday 8 January 2010 with your cheque in the sum of £60 made payable to "Aberdeen Branch Ayr United Supporters Club" to secure your team's place. Unfortunately, and due to the lack of space at the venue, we will not be able to offer spaces for any additional teams this year until I have heard back from everyone.
Finally, the success of the event last year was undoubtedly due to your generosity in providing raffle prizes and auction items. It would be very helpful indeed if you could let me know as soon as possible of any auction items you can donate; raffle prizes can be taken along on the night or passed to me beforehand.
There again appears to be huge interest in this year's quiz so act fast to avoid disappointment!
